Life's A Drag... Mexico's Return, Pinoy Pride & TS Madison!

Si, Mexico's expanding franchise blessed us with a fabulosa second season, we saw a new 'Queen Of The Universe' replace 'Valentina' as judge alongside 'Lolita Banana!' 'The Philippines' showed me a lot of camp, kitsch and religious Realness during my February 2024 visit! 'Drag Race Philippines, Season 3' served sister queens! Yes, 'TS Madison!' So, bring back those Ru-Girls! 

It was a pleasure to tune back into 'Drag Race Mexico' with that second season dropping on June 20th 2024! Now, we had a little change up with Lolita Banana's judging/hosting 'compañera!' The feeling of 'final 4' riggory was a lot less with this 'Segunda Temporada' because the second former 'Queen Of The Universe' contest was there to replace 'Valentina' on the judging panel, 'Tiaga Brava' she is! Sure, we had some 'Drag Race Family' in the house with 'Gala Varo's' 'Drag Daughter', 'Horacio Potasio' sailing through to the finale with her own talent to thank! I loved Miss Potasio! A whole 'Drag Family' unknowingly were reunited in that Werkroom! 'Nina De La Fuente' found her two 'Drag Children' on that premier episode, both 'Suculenta' and 'Garçonne' were both shocked to see their 'Mother' on the show! Sure, a little 'Drag Race España' tea was spilled with 'Ava Pocket' being the ex-partner of Spain's T3 'Mexican' entrant, 'Visa!' Listening to their Mexican Spanish feels like a break from Spain's super fast 'Castellano' chat! No, lo siento! 

Those fashion balls were amazing, their costumes were amazing even some of the questionable choices shone through! The tenacity of the Mexican queens reminded me of those 'Pinoy' mammies because you know they've got a long line linking each other, check those 'New Spain' history books! I learned the word 'silver' in Spanish when they worked their 'Chicas de Plata' runways! The girl group challenge was like music to my ears, both 'Lonely' and 'Ya No Queiro' served up perfection equally! Looking back to that second season, I didn't see any flaws because those queens needed to step up from the original debut season! 'Leexa Fox' stumbled a few times, we'd see her victorious in time! One elimination shocked me, before the final it was 'Elektra Vandergeld's' time to leave! I thought she was going to win! 'Jenary Bloom' deserved her finale spot, I want to see her on an English speaking season in the future! 'Eva Blunt', well I want to see her on 'Global All Stars' if its renewed! Oh, we all want 'Tiaga Brava' to judge/host for T3! 

My first trip to the Philippines in February 2024 blew my mind, those churches were just as stunning as the beaches! Now, I knew full well that the category stood as 'Catholicism Realness' but those heavenly and statuesque figures of the 'Blessed Madonna' saw me gooped and gagged in the best way! My first meeting with such opulence was at 'Manila Cathedral' with the 'Holy Mary' resembling 'Paolo Ballesteros' in Drag on the 'Pinoy Main-Stage!' I'm sure that sculptor knew the surgeon who augmented 'Mamwa Pao's' nose? Yes, you know that's the truth! Sure, even those 'Jeepney' rides served 'Drag Bus Realness' with those elaborate paint jobs and 'you already know' trims added to see them shine as the government were trying to pull them from their daily service during the time I visited! Like a 'Ru-Girl' in a 'Lip-Sync', the spirit of Manila served fierce, both queens in that situation didn't need a pardon from 'Mama Ru' or 'Pao!' The Philippines served her own beat, both Luzon and Palawan did the most! 'Nazarene', she did it! 

'Antipolo's' own 'Bosso Bosso Church' showed me the most fabulously laid human hair wig on a wax figure in my whole life! Wavy and hazel brown, those curly locks were laid on 'San Jose' inside that silent church, he was prepped for the 'Drag Race Philippines' runway without a doubt! Moving onto 'Antipolo Cathedral' showed me the most beautiful statue of them all, sure it was another depiction of the 'Virgin Mary' but that baptistery shined with golden tones as 'Mary's' image bedazzled my eyes! Yes, the 'Black Nazarene' educated me well, 'Black Jesus' exists! In 'Puerto Princesa City', I swapped 'religious figures' for a night of 'Realness', that walk into the city showed me a lot of life and that was even before I had found my intended first stop! With a whole lot of 'Pinoy Pride', there was a more somber side to that visit because Manila's 'North Cemetery' served 'lived in' tombs and a whole community spirit! Getting it right, I knew that 'Tondo' would never get to try me! I'll be back for another Manila night in December 2024! 

Now, the Philippines didn't play with that 3rd season! Mamwa Pao wasn't playing games, sure her garments were looking a lot more 'together'. 'Sister Queens?' Oh, we weren't ready for 'Maxie' and 'Angel!' Something told me that two of these 'Pinoy' queens would share a 'Drag Family Connection' from a previous 'Filipino' season. A 'Sara Geronimo' impersonator? Yes! Oh, this daughter had her 'brand' all figured out! A 'Queen Of The Universe?' We went two weeks without any eliminations, 'Viral Queens' was a successful first episode with 'Tik Tok' dance routines filmed! The second episode 'The Sustaina Ball' with 'Angel' getting her final chance to stay in the competition, I also connected to those 'Sari Sari Stores' that I had clocked during my visit to the Philippines! It all made sense! 'Dapat Pakak' did what it said on the tin, we were being given 'Pop Off Ate' writing quality and loving every second of those two pop renditions! 'Pao Presents Plus' saw one of the queens serve 'over confidence' on that hosting couch! Oh, no! 

'Maxie's' comeback looks were exquisite and her level of performance went unmatched! Competing alongside her sister, 'Angel' brought another level to what 'Sugar & Spice' tried to serve on their respective season. 'Zymba Ding' represented her 'Drag Mother' to the best of her ability, I am sure 'Brigiding' watched with pride? Yes! I personally wanted the best for 'Tita Baby', she sailed to the final with every week showing her in the best light and personality. 'J Quinn' didn't float my boat but 'John Fedellaga' spilled her truth during that trauma-filled moment. 'Yudipota' walked away during the 'Lip-Sync!' 'Versex' gave the least but served the most, she confused a lot with her mysterious ways! 'Eva Le Queen's' offspring gave confidence evermore, 'Myx Chanel' kept her tongue sharp with words posed towards 'Zymba's' wardrobe! 'Kihanna' will be back! 'Maxie' took the crown with a stellar and faultless season of successes! 'Angel' didn't need to reapply for Season 4! 'Drag Race Philippines: All Stars' will be happening!?

'TS Madison' has always been a 'Trans Activist', shining her light to the children even before she became a judge on 'RuPaul's Drag Race!' For me, there's always something inspiring I learn about this 'no-nonsense' powerhouse. Starring and producing her own 'reality tv series', TS Madison took 'The TS Madison Experience' to new heights as she broke that record for being a boss lady! Not shy to say it how it is, I remember when 'Miss Cookie Tookie' came for 'TS' and it opened a whole new world for me, I couldn't get over the level of drama that was created! 'TS' has always stood as a proud Black Trans Woman with her family not quite understanding her need to transform her life to live in her true form. During her special interview with 'Matt Cullen', his 'Our Queer Life' meeting with 'TS' laid her cards out on the table with several vulnerabilities present. He and 'TS' spoke about when she had been making a living for herself before she retreated back to her family home as she was experiencing health complications. Oh! 

A few years ago I stumbled upon 'Lemme Pick You Up', produced by 'WOW Presents Plus' saw 'TS' drive her 'Boob-er' car service around Los Angeles. I remember watching 'RuPaul' and 'Jasmine Masters' episodes, I really think she should be given the credit not 'James Corden!' We get to see TS on our 'WOW' subscribed screens on 'Bring Back My Girls' with those former 'Drag Race' seasoned queens! There's no question that is left unturned with this 'Drag Con' filmed series, we always know that TS will gather those girls if security needs to sort them out, those questions are spicy for a reason! From Season 15 of 'RuPaul's Drag Race', TS became a main judge, making it refreshing to see a Trans woman of colour judging next to RuPaul. People got TS misunderstood when she's gathered the girls on the show, it was something people needed to get over! You already know that TS shined as a guest judge on 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Global All Stars!' I wish nothing but blessings and love to TS Madison! Yes, she was feeling 'Riccuunnn!'
